Bridget Elam is a communications professional with extensive experience in editorial strategy, audience engagement, and community-centered publishing. After serving eight years as managing editor at The Winston-Salem Chronicle, she now leads as publisher of the Winston-Salem Source, where she is dedicated to delivering relevant, timely, and impactful local coverage.

Bridget is passionate about ensuring residents have access to credible information that empowers them to make informed decisions for their families and their future. Her work is driven by a commitment to amplifying community voices and strengthening local awareness.

She holds a master’s degree in journalism from Regent University and is a self-published author.  She is also the editor and publisher of Flying South, a literary competition and publication presented by Winston-Salem Writers.
